About Dr. Karima Feldhus

For more than 30 years, I have dedicated my career to public higher education and expanding opportunities for students and communities.

I have served as a dean at both Irvine Valley College and Saddleback College, giving me first-hand knowledge of our colleges, our students, and the communities we serve.

Throughout my career, I have led educational programs, managed multimillion-dollar budgets, secured grant funding, and built partnerships that connect education with community and workforce needs.

I am running for Trustee to put my experience to work for our students and communities and to serve with integrity, thoughtful leadership, and a deep commitment to public higher education.

Why I'm Running

I am running for the South Orange County Community College District Board of Trustees because I believe deeply in the power of public education to strengthen lives and communities. After more than 30 years in higher education, including serving as a dean at both Irvine Valley College and Saddleback College, I know our district, our colleges, and the communities we serve. I want to bring that experience to the Board and provide thoughtful, responsible leadership grounded in integrity, accountability, and respect. My commitment is simple: put students first, support our outstanding faculty and staff, safeguard taxpayer resources, and ensure that our colleges remain strong, accessible, and academically excellent for generations to come.
